Nike Air Foamposite One NRG Galaxy 521286-800
Product Description
The Nike Air Foamposite One NRG Galaxy first emerged in 2011. A Nike and Air Jordan executive wore the sneaker to an event that featured an appearance from Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway, who helped popularize the Foamposite in the 1990s. It was released the following year as part of Nike’s 2012 "All-Star" collection.
This particular Foamposite was a space-themed sneaker that had a galaxy on its signature Foamposite upper. The upper was made out of a wavy foam that was designed to mold around a person’s foot when they put the shoe on. The sneaker also had other features that made it more comfortable than the average shoe, such as Zoom Air cushioning in the midsole to make it very responsive.
But our experts would argue that the best part about this sneaker was its glow-in-the-dark outsole. It took the space theme to a whole other level and turned the Galaxy sneaker into one of the best Foamposites ever produced.
